Thessaloniki Pride

Thessaloniki Pride

Thessaloniki Pride is a new event that takes place in Thessaloniki since 2012. Pride began as an anniversary event, commemorating an incident that took place in New York on June 28, 1969. Thessaloniki Pride is a parade that is made by gay and non gay people to combat the racism of homosexuality that still exists in the Greek society.

The parade takes place for one day every June. It starts from the White Tower follows the path of Pavlos Melas, Tsimiskis Venizelos and Victory Avenue to then returns back to the White Tower where a music concerts give a celebration flavour to the day.

If you happen to be in Thessaloniki during that day, you will not miss the Thessaloniki Pride for sure as it is has become a very popular event.
