The preparation is simple. The mackerel is first grilled and then poured with fresh lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil and a little amount of oregano. The flavor is very strong and due to this the quantity served in a dish, comparing with other similar appetizers, is relatively small. It’s a fish for the people who love gourmet flavors. For me personally the mackerel offers an incomparable flavor and I always order it when I visit Greek fish restaurants.
